Achieving the balance between the solid and the suspended is the key to this project.
Large blocks of travertine alternate on the first steps of the staircase, a play of solids that enriches the space and introduces a dual function. The staircase thus becomes a true furnishing element, with the extension of the steps transforming into a new living space. The generous dimensions of the blocks allow Travertino Silver to express itself as an almost sculptural element. Its striations remain visible and continuous along the entire edge, emphasizing the block's origin.
Solid volumes dominate the space, creating a dialogue between two natural materials, both close and distant: stone and wood. The choice of materials was guided by a desire for warmth and authenticity, aiming to offer a sense of exclusive comfort. Oak parquet flooring is the classic of wood flooring; its excellent technical characteristics of resistance and warmth make it a versatile and iconic material.
The oak grain ideally continues the project's concept, entering into a dialogue with the second protagonist: Silver Travertine, recognizable by its irregular parallel veining. The two textures characterize the space with the sheer force of their presence. The soft, relaxing tones visually unite all the rooms of the home. The result is a fluid continuity between the different spaces, where materials and colors work together to define a coherent and harmonious atmosphere.
